About the Role

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Our Client, a large medical company, is looking for a strong Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to assist with their migration project. The person in this role will help in the development of an Azure environment, which will involve building new services and transferring existing ones to the Azure platform. The successful candidate will provide support to this process.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and configure secure Azure services, including IaaS/PaaS, virtual machines, web application services, app gateway, Azure FrontDoor, API Management, storage (Blob, File, Data Lake), B2C, SQL databases (Azure SQL Managed Instances/databases), Azure functions, logic apps, CDN, Redis Cache, and networking (Vnet, Application Gateway).
Work with Microsoft Azure Landing zones and well-architected framework.
Ensure disaster recovery, cross-region replication, and geo-redundancy.
Manage Azure Backup and Restore.
Generate scripts and templates using PowerShell and JSON templates for the provisioning of cloud resources.
Deploy resources via code.
Implement security and governance policies using Azure monitor and Defender for cloud.
Monitor and patch, security reviews, and policy adherence.
Migrate on-premises services and VMs into Azure, specifically Server 2012 resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in implementing and configuring secure Azure services, including IaaS/PaaS, virtual machines, web application services, app gateway, Azure FrontDoor, API Management, storage (Blob, File, Data Lake), B2C, SQL databases (Azure SQL Managed Instances/databases), Azure functions, logic apps, CDN, Redis Cache, and networking (Vnet, Application Gateway).

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Landing zones and well-architected framework.

  • Experience with disaster recovery, cross-region replication, and geo-redundancy.

  • Knowledge of Azure Backup and Restore.

  • Ability to generate scripts and templates using PowerShell and JSON templates for the provisioning of cloud resources.

  • Knowledge of resource deployment via code.

  • Experience with security and governance policies using Azure monitor and Defender for cloud.

  • Knowledge of monitoring and patching, security reviews, and policy adherence.

  • Experience with migrating on-premises services and VMs into Azure, specifically Server 2012 resources.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
