About the Role
Our client, a Private Equity company, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their team to aid their current data-warehouse migration from on-premises to Azure cloud.
Responsibilities:
Work with the team to aid in the migration of the current on-premises data warehouse to Azure Cloud
Design and develop data pipelines using Azure data-warehouse, data-bricks, and data-lake
Write advanced SQL queries to extract and transform data
Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and develop data solutions that meet business requirements
Develop and maintain data models and schemas
Ensure that data solutions adhere to data governance and security standards
Provide technical support and guidance to team members
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
Strong experience with Azure data-warehouse, data-bricks, and data-lake
Advanced SQL skills
Experience with migration from on-premises data warehouse to Azure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Python and Pyspark
Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
